Now, we are going to be talking about fat! Fat is how our body uses calories for later use or in case we starve. Fats can be found in animal products, dairy foods, and many other plant foods.

Each vitamin works as a part of a different process in your body, helping make your metabolism, growth, and development, or immune system. (among many other functions) work properly. Almost every food contains some sort of vitamin

Now onto minerals! Minerals are used for metabolic processes and others are used as part of body structures like calcium in our bones and teeth.
Well, I guess that covers the Six essential nutrients!

Oh yeah-MyPlate is basically just an ideal version of what your plate should look like. It includes fruits, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy. Sorry, but cookies aren't part of the MyPlate plate.
