- Hello, my name is Yeh-Shen. When I was little, both of my parents died. After they died, I went to stay at my evil step-mother´s house. The reason I call her evil is because she makes me do all of the chores and barely feeds me. I only have one friend, my fish. I always make sure to share my food with my fish, ignoring the fact that my step-mother gives me little food.
- We will be friends forever!
- Unfortanulary, step-mother found out about my secret friendship with my fish. So as a punishment for keeping secrets from her, she told me to collect some firewood and then when I was away, she killed my fish and cooked it for dinner. The only thing she left behind were the bones of my deceased friend. Now I will not be able to festival for sure now! It´s not like I was going to go anyways.
- This is what you get for disobeying and keeping secrets from me!! You deserve nothing you ungrateful child!
- Those fish bones have powers and will grant you any wish, but use your wishes wisefully.
- I decided I needed fresh air and went outside. There I found a man who told me that the bones of my fish have powers and I could ask anything from it. In addition, he gave me a warning to use my wishes wisefully and not stupidly.
- My friend, will you please let me borrow some clothes for the festival?
- I won´t lose them I promise!
- Yes, but I am going to warn you to not lose your shoes.
- Although I wasn't allowed to go to the festival, I still wanted to go very badly. So I asked the bones to let me borrow some clothes that I could wear, since my rags aren't the prettiest thing in the world. The bones then gave me a beautiful azure blue dress and golden shoes! I was then warned by the bones to not lose the golden shoes, that would be easy not to lose them they're on my feet!
- No way that is Yeh-Shen she was asleep last time I saw her!
- I can´t let them see me! Oh no my shoe!
- When I got to the festival, I saw my step-mother and my sister there. My sister pointed out me to my step-mother so I ran before they could catch me. While running, my shoe fell off and I couldn't grab put it back on. Back at home, when I tried to speak to the fishbones, they wouldn't respond back to me. It´s most likely because I lost the shoe.
- Mother, is that our Yeh-Shen?
- Who is that girl?
- Not long I heard about a pavilion with a golden shoe in it. So I thought it must be mine! I need to give it back to the bones. When I got there and took the shoe, a man started blabbing on about how he found his true love?Kings these days.
- Okay?
- There she is! The shoe girl! We were looking for you! I have fallen in love with you marry me!
