Storyboard Text
- "She looks like you!" "She looks almost exactly like you."
- "I can't tell you anything about her."
- "Do you know who the other Edieth is?"
- "I know who Edieth Graham is."
- One day after school Edie and her friend Serene go to Edie’s house. They start to wonder what's in the attic even though they Edie know's she shouldn't be in there. They go into the attic and start looking around. Serene finds a box with the name 'Edieth Graham' written on the box and tells Edie to come over to her. Once Edie saw the box, she opened it and saw a bunch of pictures. Edie found lots of information about who Edieth Graham was.
- "Edieth Graham adopted me when I was only 6 months old." 'My real mom left me as soon as I was born."
- Its Edie’s uncles birthday and she goes over to his house. Her braces are bothering her and her mom keeps annoying her. Edie just walks outside to get away from everyone. Edie’s Uncle follows her outside and starts talking to her. Edie asks her uncle something personal and to tell her about Edieth Graham. Her Uncle tells her that it is something she has to ask and talk to her parents about. Edie asks her uncle to keep it a secret from her parents that she knows about Edieth Graham.
- Edie goes to sit at breakfast and tells her parents, “I Know where my name came from.” “Your biological mother's name is Edieth Graham.” Edie tells her mom she knows that her mother was adopted and her dad states, “She found the box.” Edie’s mom said that she had a client appointment this morning but then she took the rest of the day off since Edie was ready.
- Edie finds out her mom was put up for adoption the day she was born. Edie’s mom tells Edie that if you look at her original birth certificate you’ll find she didn’t have a name when she came into this world.
- Edie’s parents decide that they will take a ferry over to the Town of Kingston where Edie’s mom originally came from so she could show her where she grew up.
- Edie’s mom's parents adpoted her at six months old. Edie’s mom said that her brother Phil who is Edies uncle didn’t like her too much at first. Edie’s mom was the only Native person in her neighborhood in elementary and middle school.
