- You take up for yourbuddies, no matter what they do. When you're a gang, you stick up for the members. Ifyou don't stickup for them, stick together, make like brothers, it isn't a gang any more.
- An important theme for this chapter is loyalty. Throughout the chapter, we can see and identify the brotherhood Greasers have. Although they have their problems and fights, they always support each other.
