- Quickly Demeter realized that her daughter was missing. She franticly looked for her all around the earth for nine full days, but still found no answers. A couple days later Hecate approached her and said that he heard her scream and saw a mysterious man take her. They went to Helios and asked if he if he saw who took her.
- Persephone!

- Helios told her that he saw Zeus and hades take her. Demeter grew very angry that Zeus and Hades would take her daughter hostage like that. She swore that "She would never set foot on mount Olympus ever again until she sees her daughter. " Once Zeus found out, he didn't want her to leave, so he sent Helios to the underworld to deliver the message.

- Since the king of god's told Hades to return his "wife" back to Demeter Hades had no choice but to obey him.

- Hades assured her that he had no attention of treating her as a captive. He promised that he would be a very good and loyal husbands, and that if she marred him she would gain great power in the underworld as his queen. As a token of affection he gave her a pomegranate seed to eat on he way back to mount Olympus.

- Helios took her back and Demeter was overjoyed by seeing her daughter. Demeter and Persephone decided that she would live with her for two thirds of the year for the harvest, and for the remaining third of the year she would go and live with her husband in the underworld.

- In time Persephone settled in her place as queen of the underworld. Hades and Persephone did not have kids together, but they did enjoy each others company. THE END
