What do Koreans eat? They eat everything! Traditional Korean food is delicious, one of the most famous South Korean dishes is kimchi.
Traditionally, Koreans like to share food with their dining companions. That is why when you go to eat at someone's home or a restaurant in Korea, you will be served a number of small plates as appetizers, which you will share with others at the table. Also when ordering food, if you go with friends or a Korean couple, it is good to order food to share
As in Japan, in Korea there is a ritual of thanksgiving before and after each meal. When you start eating, you join hands and say jal meokkesseumnida (잘 먹겠습니다) or "I will eat well." (corresponding to our "good appetite"). At the end of the meal, the expression jal meogeosseumnida (잘 먹었습닅니다) is used to say thank you and show that the meal was enjoyed.
Forget to mention that you finish everything on your plate, no matter if you don't like it. You must. Koreans will appreciate it and much more if you say "Chal mokgosubnida" which means "I ate very well".
I see that the people of korea are a very respectful and well-mannered people.
