- It was the long waited sport’s day I prepared very hard for.My competitors and me went to the starting line and positioned ourselves.The atmosphere was festive and jubilant.The cheerleaders were cheering us on and our classmates shouted themselves hoarse and waved the banners they made like crazy.the stadium was packed like sardines and it looked like the spectators were having a silent fight for the seats.I knew I had to do well to make my parents proud of me for reaching the first place.
- “Ready,Set,Go!” the referee shouted.At once we took off.I ran as fast as a cheetah and felt the wind in my hair.The finishing line glistened in the sunlight and beckoned me towards it while the trophy screamed my name.I bolted and ran faster. Then something happened out of the blue.Jane, my competitor tripped on her shoelace and fell down with a defending “thud” and a bloodcurdling scream and her eyes betrayed fear. Her knee was badly scraped and her blood shone crimson red in the sun.
- Jane grimaced in pain and looked as if she was fighting back tears while I was in two minds about what to do. “What should I do?Should I help her?Should I abandon her and continue with the race?” I thought .The bad and good angels battled in my head and then a minute later my mind was made up.I stopped running and helped her up. “Come on!We can make it!”,I encouraged her.She flashed me a grateful smile and we staggered to the finish line.The spectators cheered very loud at the amaazind display of sportsmanship.Once we reached the finish line ,the staff treated to Jane’s wound and praised me while Jane thanked me.I knew that day I made the right choice.
