- Why does dad give him so much food?! No wonder he's so overweight!
- Pspspspsp...you're a good boy Snuggs! I love you!
- Zzzzz...
- Purrrrr...
- Ever since my cat Snuggs was a kitten, my father gave him so much food to eat, and I had only started to notice the growth of his weight in freshman year.
- Mom! Snuggs is paralyzed! We have to go to the vet, hurry!
- I began to keep track of the amount of food he would get, and I would play with him for about 20 minutes a day to get his stimulation and hopefully prevent him from gaining anymore weight.
- I'm sorry, but you have to decide.
- Snuggs was a very affectionate cat. My favorite part of the day was to cuddle up with him in bed and we would go to sleep together. I loved the amount of affection he yearned for, because I love petting, cuddling and just relaxing with cats. They are my favorite pet to have.

- On a Saturday morning, I found Snuggs at the bottom of my steps, and he wouldn't come to me when I called. I went down the steps and came to a realization that he was paralyzed from the stomach down. My parents and I decided to take a trip to the animal clinic.
- They ran tests on Snuggs and came to a conclusion that he had clogged arteries and severe heart problems. I was then given the decision to put him down or pay $500 for a surgery that had less than 40% chance of survival. I didn't want to risk that much money because I knew the financial state that we were in.
- I did the hardest thing a pet owner could ever do. I had gotten him cremated, and now his ashes lay in a box with his name engraved on it. Sometimes, I wish I could go back in time and undo everything, so he wouldn't have grown up eating so much, because it was so dangerous for him. Alas, I have closure knowing that Snuggs is no longer suffering and is eating all the food he wants, up in the clouds above.
