Charles the I. ignoring the Parliament Petition of Right after he realized how much limits it puts on his power, and thats why so many people dislike him. It placed limits on his ability to tax, imprison citizens without a cause, quarter troops, institute martial law and that was just too much for him.

In the year 1648, Charles was forced to appear before a high court which was controlled by his enimes, where he was convicted of high treson agaisnt England and sentenced to exectution. Charles was behead in 1649.

The Civil war started in 1861 between the United States and the Confederacy. Some of the causes for the Civil war has to do with slavary and rights. The war ended in 1864, the United States ended up winning the war. Millions were killed and injured throughout this event.
The Glorious Revolution took place from 1688 to 1689 in The Kingdom of Great Britain. The Glorious Revolution involved the overthrow of King James II who was replaced by his daughter Mary and her husband( William of Orange).
The English Bill of Rights limited the power of the Monarchy and elavated the status of parliment, it also gave more rights and liberties to the citizens of England.
