  • Balanced life: learning how to cope with your stress!
  • What is wellness?Wellness is taking care of your body and mind, making sure you feel good both physically and emotionally. There are two main types of wellness I want to talk about today: one—social wellness, and two—mental/emotional wellness.
  • What is social wellness?Social wellness is how you interact with people in social situations. It's the ability to understand and meet the needs of others, as well as having the ability to interact with and listen to others. Even though social wellness is decreasing because of all the social media platforms, people are going out less and less.
  • What is mental/emotional wellness?Mental/emotional wellness is really easy to understand. It means how you think, feel, and act. It's being comfortable with the people around you, your surroundings, and yourself. 
  • What is stress?Stress is something we all experience, even if you are a teen or an adult. Stress is when we are challenged or overwhelmed. What matters to your brain and your entire body is how you handle stress.

  • Staying healthy, by taking care of your body, mind and relationshipsStaying healthy is not just about not being sick,but is about your physical, mental/emotional, and social wellness. As you know being socially and mentally well is important to your wellness.
  • Reviewing social, metal/emotional, and physical wellnessSocial wellness- You can talk listen and interact with others.Mental/emotional wellness-Handling stress or any kind of emotion in a healthy way.Physical wellness-How you treat your body.
  • What is a SMART goal?A SMART goal stands for specific,measurable, achievable,realistic, and time related. When you are planning to do a SMART goal those five things are needed to achieve it. A SMART goal is also a very useful life skill. An example of a SMART goal is I will run 4 days every week for 30 minutes each.
  • The effects of stressEveryone has to deal with stress at one point, but sometimes stress can get unhealthy. You may see you are skipping meals, or getting frequent headaches. Some ways to handle stress in a healthier way is talking to someone or keeping track of what you eat.
