- Once Perseus is all geared up to fight the Gorgons, it is not the Ordeal. Hermes knew where they lived so he brought Perseus there. They were asleep when Perseus saw them. He used the mirror of the shield and cap to come closer. He aimed for Medusa's throat with Athena guiding his hand. Then he cut Medusa head and flew away. This woke up the other Gorgons with them being terrified. They wanted to kill the slayer but Perseus was hidden.
- Ordeal
- Throughout Perseus's journey, the rewards he had received are Medusa's head and Andromeda. When fighting Medusa, Perseus cut off her head. Her head could turn anything to stone. Perseus saved Andromeda from the sea serpent by killing it with the sword Hermes gave. Perseus loved her and received her.
- Reward
- Road Back
- On Perseus's road back, he saw a beautiful girl named Andromeda tied for a sea serpent to devour. He loved the girl and waited for the sea serpent to come. When the sea serpent came, he cut the sea serpent's head off and saved Andromeda.
- Atonement
- Perseus then comes back home to give Polydectes Medusa's Head. Perseus confronts Polydectes for him forcing Danaë to become his wife. Perseus shows Polydectes Medusa's head, what he had wished for, and then got turned to stone. This is the atonement of Perseus's journey.
- Perseus had saved his mother and his love, Andromeda. His journey had ended. He returned the sword to Hermes and returned the shield to Athena. He had also given Medusa's head to Athena. Perseus returned to Greece to meet his grandfather, but in a discus-throwing, he accidentally killed his grandfather who was one of the spectators. The oracle was proven true again. Perseus then lived with Andromeda happily.
