- Serbia wants the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina!
- NO! Austria-Hungary wants the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina! This means war!
- Serbia turns to to Russia, France, and Great Britain for help. They were called the Allied powers.
- Germany joins Austria-Hungary and are called the central powers.
- During the war new weapons such as machine guns, poison gas, and tanks were created to fight soiders in the trenches.
- German U-Boats began to attack U.S. ships.
- The United States would like to join the allied forces in the war.

- The Allied powers win the world war and Germany must accept the blame for starting the war, slash the size of its army and give up their overseas colonies, and pay for damages.
