We should invade the Holy Lands.
In 1905 Pope Urban II called on a crusade. To go and attack the Holy lands. 150,000 people join him and went on the way. The Turks killed most of them.
Despite all the set backs. They had a more professional armies followed. They surprised the kingdom. So they were able to win and take over the Holy Land.
Woohoo!!! We took back the Holy lands.
Lets go attack!!
The emperor and the king of France. Had started a crusade. Many people joined. The King's wife Eleanor joined the crusade.
Oh No we lost run!!
The second crusade failed. There was many reasons why it failed. Mostly because the leaders argued. They also disrespected the people so they were treated badly.
That ended well.
The Third crusade was started because of the fail of the second one. I was named the Crusade of the kings. The leader of the crusade was known as the Lion heart. He won victories and developed a courteous relationship with Saladin. The end of the crusade was when they signed a truce.
At least we got gold!
The fourth crusade was a complete fail. It had embarrassed the Pope. The didn't even reach the Holy lands. Instead they just tried to fund their campaign. By looting the christian cities.
