- In Tell-Tale Heart, a simile would be "It increased my fury, as the beating of a drum stimulates a soldier into courage"(Poe 80). This is the narrator compared the beating heart to a drum.
- A Tough Question would be "How then, am I mad?"(Poe 78). It is hard for us to determine if he is crazy or very cautious and calculated.
- The Climax of Tell-Tale Heart is when the narrator kills the old man. This is the turning point of the story because this is when the narrator finally snaps and kills the old men.
