Hello everyone, my name is Michael, and I am here to show you the basic importance of digital safety and your digital footprint!
First off, it is EXTREMELY important to keep your digital footprint clean. If you have done bad stuff on the internet before, anyone could find it if they looked for it, and they could use it as blackmail, or you might not be able to get your dream job!
Even if you already have your desired job, you could still get fired due to anything bad you might have done on the internet. If someone decides to blackmail you, they will probably want something huge in return, such as money, or something else.
You also need to stay safe from hackers. Even if bad stuff you have done isn’t public whatsoever, if you get hacked, or someone intrudes on your devices, they could find whatever you have done, which could result in them deciding to publish the information, probably to blackmail you.
Most of the time, internet hackers use a program that tries to guess your passwords, so the best thing to do is make a strong password, using numbers, letters, symbols, and whatever else you can think of, but also something that you can still remember.
Other times, hackers may be someone close to you who happened to guess your computer password correctly, and wanted to snoop around for a bit. Another reason to have a strong password. You also shouldn’t click on links you don’t trust, as they could be information grabbers. Thats all I have for now, goodbye!
