We designed the colony with buildings to block radiation like gamma rays and neutron radiation from space.
This is Nova, our new home. It’s a moon orbiting around a giant planet called Terra. It’s not the best place but it has water, an atmosphere that humans can breathe in, and enough sunlight from our nearby star.
Then we met them the aliens which were peaceful and smart. They were also watching us the whole time.
Science helps us survive. Doppler shift, Hubble’s Law, The Big Bang, it helped us get here.
That’s called time dilation according to Einsteins theory of relativity.
The Doppler shift told us that it was getting closer every second by reading the frequency changes and we were out of time.

We were finally starting to feel like this could work.
We brought about 1,000 people with us and our goal is to build a colony where we can all survive and start over.
We didn’t just find a new world.
They knew about the Earth, our sun, moon phases, tides, and eclipses.
A few survivors made it. Families and scientists.
I flew close to a black hole and I was gone for one year while Valentino aged seven years.
Back at Earth it got worse. The black hole was pulling Earth further apart.
