the atlantic ocean has many starfish all of different colors they have blue and green and orange their predators are turtles and large fish.
4: Competition & Natural Selection
their genetic variation is green and blue and orange. the orange and green are more likely to be eaten by turtles and large fish because they are spotted more easily.
5: Adaptation
in the summer they had an overproduction of offspring and that drew in more predators because there were more green and orange and less blue.
Evolution Has Occured
the orange and green starfish got eaten by the fish and turtles but there were still a few left and the population became mostly blue the blue starfish survived because they were able to blend in with their surroundings better than the green and orange starfish.
eventually all of the orange and green starfish die out or were eaten by predators and the blue starfish were the only ones that survived and the whole population grew to be blue.
evolution occured by the orange and green starfish getting killed by the predators leaving only the blue starfish which then led them to breed purebred blue starfish which erased the memory of the orange and green starfish forever.
