- I FOUND GOLD I AM GOING TO BE RICH YESSSSSS.
- Homesteading was to encourage people to come to the west to create expansion. They had to live there for 5 years to impove it, it was mostly used for farming and ranching. In this picture you see a farmer making progress on his land.
- Harvey Houses/Girls
- Hi welcme to The Harvey House what can I get for you?
- The railroad made it possible for people to travel, trade goods, produce more crops, and mining. Also, it connected NM to otherparts of the country and let people explore different places. In this picture you see a man getting ready to see a town he's never seen before and he had his supplies with him.
- Torism
- Boomtowns were towns that spring up quickly because of mining and it attracted people from all over the world. They found gold, sliver, coal, turquoise and copper. In this picture it shows a man finding gold while mining in a boom town.
- Wide West

- The Harvey House was a restaurant/ hotel right by the railroad and it was for people who didn't want the train food and they didn't want to be on it. Also, the Harvey House only hired women because they were reliable. In this picture it shows a man coming in from the train and a Harvey girl welcoming him, also it shows a guy and woman sitting together and the man is wondering why is there so much people.
- It's so crowded here
- Many people came to the western side to get souvenirs and to learn about south western culture. Some people stole pieces of pottery and insulted the southwest culture, In the picture it show a lady getting sometime and a father and a son talking and the son is so happy to get a rug from the southwest for his home.
- I can't wait to get a rug for our home it's going to look amazing.
- The wild west was lawless and it was a great place for outlaws to hide. Everybody carried guns and used them to sovle problems, like if someone stole somthing they got shot. In this picture it shows a mom and her kid getting yell because her kid stole other kids toys and the father was mad so he shot the mom.
