- Quite the strange appearance.
- we begin with a prince named prospero, who ruled a kingdom overcome by a great plague called the red death.
- Climax
- Gah!
- Because of this he isolated himself, his knights, and his wealthy friends in a castle masquerade while those outside the walls perished. This was an attempt to avoid a unfortunate demise to the red death.
- Falling Actions
- Each room was painted a different color to symbolize the passing of time in the hall. A room painted ebony to symbolize the night is at the end. When the clock strikes midnight, a visitor doused in red dye to resemble blood appears. The figure stops when the Prince gives the order to do so because he and the other partygoers are afraid. Rather, the visitor dashes to the shadowy chamber.
- Resolution
- When the ebony clock stuck midnight the red death enter the dark room. The Prince pursues the red death with a dagger in an attempt to remove him, unfortunately the red death approaches prospero as he falls over and dies.
- In an attempt to unmask the figure, the attendees remove the costume from the strange guest, to their shock it was the red death itself.
- "And now was acknowledged the presence of the Red Death. He had come like a thief in the night. And one by one dropped the revelers in the blood bedewed halls of their revel, and died each in the despairing posture of his fall."
