A man named Lazarus, from a village called Bethany, is very ill.Mary and Martha, whom Jesus loves, sent a message to Jesus.
After two days of hearing the message, Jesus leaves for the village.His followers warn him that it was dangerous, but Jesus explained that Lazarus was dead.
After Jesus arrived, the ill man was already dead.After hearing of Jesus' arrival, Martha and Mary both told Jesus that if he was here, the man wouldn't have died.Jesus became greatly disturbed.
Jesus then is determined to revive Lazarus. He asked where he was buried and hurried over.Martha, Mary, and a lot of spectating Jews followed him.
After getting to the grave, Jesus spoke to God. He told God to revive this man, so that the people watching him would believe him.He then told Martha to take away the stone, and told Lazarus to walk out.Lazarus walked out.
From that day on, the Jews tried to put Jesus to death.This is because they are afraid of the Romans, who might hurt them if they hear about Jesus' miracles.Therefore, Jesus no longer was very open to the Jews.
