Storyboard Text

  • Skluzavka: 1
  • I wonder how people trade all around the world
  • How this curiosity came about the boy who got one of his favorite video games from GameStop, when he looked at the back, it said made in China, he wondered how it got to Canada.
  • Skluzavka: 2
  • Who are you!
  • Hello, young one. I shall teach you about global trade systems.
  • Narrator: Suddenly, a flash of light: A wizard with a grey beard and a big wand wearing a purple robe and a wizard hat appears!
  • Skluzavka: 3
  • "You said you wanted to learn about international trade. We are going to the Prime Minister's office, where global trade is discussed!"
  • "Just like that the boy and the wizard began their journey"
  • Skluzavka: 4
  • "Hello, I am Prime Minister Mark Carney."
  • Hello, Mr Mark Carney, how are you doing this morning?
  • Skluzavka: 5
  • “Yes I do control Canada now.”
  • "So, you control Canada now?"
  • Skluzavka: 6
  • "Who are you, wizard? I’ll deal with you later. First, I need to meet with the other leaders."
  • " Wait! I want to learn about how Canada trades with other countries I want to know why my video game said it was made in China.
  • Skluzavka: 7
  • May I join you?
  • "Stay here"
  • "I want to learn about international trade, so I will follow him anyway."
  • The boy quietly sneaks behind the leaders and finds himself in a high level global trade meeting!
  • Skluzavka: 8
  • “ Oh yeah!? You get 30% reciprocal tariffs on machinery.
  • "I will put 25% tariffs on imports and exports from France."
  • “Mark Carney entered the room and there was USA France and India sitting at a round table with chairs ”
  • Skluzavka: 9
  • Tariffs are taxes that another government puts on stuff coming from other countries. So if a country takes something , you might have to pay extra money in the form of tariffs,
  • "What are tariffs?"
  • "What are you doing here I told you to stay in my office!?"
  • As Prime Minister Modi explains, the young boy listens carefully.
  • Skluzavka: 10
  • “Global trade systems involve the exchange of products or materials between countries. They help countries grow their markets and share goods around the world.”
  • “It also means that products unavailable in one country can be bought from another. But it creates high competition and demand too.”
  • "I want to learn even more about global trade."
  • "Okay!"
  • Skluzavka: 11
  • “And don’t forget inflation. Inflation affects global trade by changing prices and exchange rates. When a country is experiencing high inflation, its goods become more expensive for others to buy. That reduces trade.”
  • Skluzavka: 12
  • “Wow So, after hearing all this, you guys should work together and use global trade systems properly.”
  • "Yes, I agree. We should work together instead of fighting."
  • Skluzavka: 13
  • : "He's right. Maybe it's time we focused less on arguments and more on cooperation."
  • This way people will have access to imported goods that are unavailable to them locally, without having to bear high costs!
  • "Agreed. Global trade works best when countries collaborate, not when they threaten each other with tariffs."
  • "Fine my friend... no more trade wars unless someone touches my fries."
  • The room goes quiet. All the world leaders glance at each other, surprised by the wisdom of the young boy.
  • Skluzavka: 14
  • "You’ve done well, young one. You've learned the value of understanding, communication, and global connections. That is true economic magic."
  • "So can I go home now? My brain is full of inflation, tariffs, and prime ministers."
  • “The wizard teleports in the room.”
  • Skluzavka: 15
  • "Of course. But remember global trade isn’t just about goods. It’s about people, choices, and working together."
  • The wizard and the boy return home.
  • Skluzavka: 16
  • "That was awesome! I learned so much! Now I understand why trade matters, how countries need each other, and how we can solve problems by working together instead of fighting."
  • "And that, my boy, is how you change the world one economic lesson at a time."
  • And from that day forward, the boy never looked at a product label the same way again. He always wondered, "Which country helped make this?"
  • Skluzavka: 17
  • THE END
