Jesus took the 2 fish and 5 loaves and looked into the heavens. He gave thanks then broke the bread. The food was multiplied.
After the food had been multiplied, the disciples handed out bread and fish to groups of about 50 people until everyone was fed.
Even after everyone had eaten, there were still leftovers. There were 12 baskets with bread and fish. 4,000 men ate, plus the women and children.
