- Naomi
- Ruth
- Orpah
- Naomi becomes a widow and her sons are also killed. Her sons were married to Ruth and Orpah. Naomi tells Orpah and Ruth to go back to their mothers house and that she is too old to get remarried and have children. Ruth clings to Naomi but Orpah kisses Naomi goodbye and starts walking to her mothers house.

- Boaz
- Ruth meets Boaz and offers to work for him. He agrees and lets her pick up the wheat the men have dropped and he feeds her bread and oil. Naomi tells her that Boaz is a good man and she is safe working for him since she is a widow
- Skluzavka: 3
- Naomi tells Ruth to go and lay at Boaz feet for he will find her someone to marry. When Boaz awakes he finds her sitting there, He tells her that she is kind for not running after younger men. He tells her there is a closer younger relative that he needs to speak to first but he will get back to her with the word from the other relative. When she tries to leave he tells her to give him her shawl to fill with barley to not go back empty handed to Naomi.
