If we think of ourselves as inferior to whites . Apartheid will have won.
Apartheid calls us  non-whites just by calling ourselves black, we strike a blow against the government .
In 1946 Steve  Biko was born. His father passed  when  he was an the young age of four. , and his mother struggled to raise the family and provide her children with an education.

Later on, in life  Biko attended The medical school of Natal University, which was segregated. Biko surrounded himself with some of the most intelligent black South African students.

Biko set up a student union for blacks only (SASO). He wrote a column in the student newspaper under the alias 'Frank Talk'.
1972 Biko was kicked out of Natal University for neglecting his studies. He started working for the Black Consciousness Conservation, which set up help projects for poor blacks, but he was banned in 1973.
Biko helped to set up a health care center named Zanenphilo meaning (The one bringing health) Run by his lover, Dr.Ramphele.
September 19 Biko was arrested , and kept  unclothed in a cell for 80 days .Biko was beaten and chained to a grille.He was then put in the back of a Land Rover and driven 1,600km to a hospital, were he died at the age of 30 years old
