- In this scene, Lennie was laughing while Curley was being serious and talking badly. Culry mistakenly thought that Lennie was laughing at him. He started a fight with Lennie and Lennie then fought back. This resulted in Lennie crushing Curley's hand.
- "Look, Candy. This ol' dog jus' suffers.."
- "No, I couldn't do that"
