  • *Chuckles* I’m in danger
  • Cicero’s worst political enemy, Sergius Catalina had been accused a lot of crimes, for like having adultery with the vestal virgin. The two weren’t on the best terms of relationships either, for Catalina had not only bribed the judges to stop his penalty, but had also lost to an election with Cicero.
  • Nyeh, I’ll pass
  • Heey man, would you like to join my team of “I heart Caesar”?
  • With his string of bad deeds and luck, he conducted a plan to overthrow the republic which became posed by Cicero, who had then made speeches to give Catalina a horrible impression on the senate. He(Catalina) fled, but then died on combat(high chance the fight was for suicide)
  • The death of Catalina was actually a decree from Cicero to the Senate for death sentence, leading to his own banishment from Rome, for the death-punishment wasn’t really a legal penalty yet.
  • Looks like meat’s back on the list boys
  • If you had come all the way to kill me, sure, we’re all going to die anyways
  • Caesar had asked Cicero to help support him for his popularity and trust with the citizens of Rome. Cicero refused, for he didn’t wanted to have someone with all the power, for he only wanted to keep the old tradition of diverse and various ideas. Which was one of the mistakes he did with taking political sides which ultimately leads to his downfall.
  • After the assassination of Caesar, Antony and Cicero were the 2 most powerful political members of Rome. But the two didn’t get along well it went far worse when Cicero accused Antony of taking the remembrance of Caesar a bit too far. When Octavian came along, and then teamed up with Antony Lepidus, they set up a death-note list, Cicero’s name was in it. Which could be karma for making wrong political choices.
  • So a group of men were sent to kill him. It was said that he told the soldiers: “What you are doing is wrong soldiers, but do try to kill me properly.” Unfortunately the soldiers were all cold-blooded men who cut off his head and hands and showed the gruesome work of theirs to their masters, and the life of the senate who tried to stop the rebellion, had been killed, there was nothing to do about it.
