- On a sunny day there was a little boy named Charlie and his dog Tobie playing fetch. When all of a sudden Charlie accidently threw the ball to hard and it landed within the tree.

- Before Charlie could figure out how he was going to get the ball down, he first tried to find the height of the tree. He realized that the ball is at an angle of 35 degrees and he was standing 17ft away from the tree With this discovery he decided to use the trig equation Tan (35) x 15 which ultimately gives him the height of approximately 12ft

- After finding the height of the tree, Charlie was ecstatic to find it was the same height as the ladder he had in his backyard. With no time to waste, Charlie and Tobie quickly ran to grab the ladder!
- After setting up the ladder, Charlie realized that their was a problem. When he set up the ladder, he saw that is was positioned at a different angle than from his original equation. SO in order to find the new angle of the figure, he set up a new equation using sin-1(12 / 13.47) in which he finds that the new angle of the ladder is approximately 63 degrees.

- Now that Charlie and Tobie had found the missing angle, all that was left for them was to find the missing side of the figure. Charlie decided to use the equation Cos(63) / 13.47 which gave him the missing side of approximately 6ft. They were now OFFICIAL able to climb up the ladder SAFELY and get the ball!

- After successfully rescuing the ball from the tree. Charlie and Tobie happily went back to playing fetch all the way until sundown. THE END!!!
