- I was summertime and I just finished eating breakfast. I was so excited to sit by the window like I always do, when I saw people outside.
- what's happening?
- Mom, who are the people outside? They look so angry.
- Well sweetheart, there's been special treatment for people who have our skin color while people of color have been fighting for basic rights for hundreds of years.
- Always treat people with kindness. But mom, could you teach me more about this soon? I don't understand why it's so hard for people to love one another.
