- Hi Everyone! Today we are examining the Fairy ring mushrooms.
- These guys are heterotrophs, but decompose. This means their Saprophytic. The one I'm looking at ate part of a dead deer last week!
- What have you noticed, Jacob?
- Don't forget they live in forests and grasslands!
- Oh! I almost forgot! Did you know that they reproduce with spores?
- Thanks! It shows the fruiting body, the stalk, the cap, hyphae, and mycelium.

- Fairy mushrooms help humans and animals by decomposing unwanted dead organisms.
- Fun fact: Fairy Ring Mushrooms got their name from people who once believed that mushrooms growing in a circle followed the path made by fairies dancing in a ring.
