- Written Contract
- I would like to rent the car for 2 years.
- Sure, I just need you to read and sign the contract.
- Joe needs $5 to ride the bus home from Surrey. His friend John agrees to give him $5 in return for $6 the next day.
- Offer
- Sure, but you can only use it for 3 hours.
- Joe then grabs water to prepare himself for the long ride home. He pays $2.58 for two water bottles.
- Breach of Contract
- Just give me a few more hours.
- Joe decides to get a car, so he doesn't have to pay for buses. He signs the contract given to him by the company.
- Consideration
- I'll do it for you for $10.
- Joe borrows his neighbors vacuum cleaner in exchange
- Can I offer $10 to use your vacuum?
- Joe asked for a change in the contract, when they both already agreed to it.
- I already let you borrow it for 5 hours.
- Joe's friend promises to do his dishes for $10. The consideration is the finished dishes, which Joe is not entitled to yet.
