- 9 Year old B.R. Ambedkar was waiting with his cousins at the railway station for an hour for their father to pick them up
- The station master came to enquire
- We are Mahars.....
- Who are you?
- He was stunned. He left us standing . We waited and waited... We felt lonely and lost
- We can go to Koregaon on bullock cart or walk.....
- Station master came back after half hour
- What will you do now?
- We can pay double
- the cart owners had heard that we were Mahars...
- They will pollute it...
- We cannot on our cart...
- Take then to Koregaon....
- Nobody wanted to take Mahars in their cart....
