- I think that it is time to drop our new Atomic Bomb on Japan and end this war
- If you think that is the only way to end this then go ahead
- Mr. President, it has been done. Both Hiroshima and Nagasaki have been bombed and Japan has Surrendered
- Great Work this will benefit America for the Great or Good.
- Harry S. Truman decides that he is going to use his newly formed atomic bomb on Japan
- Reporters are outside now asking why you have decided to level both of these cities
- I will let them know why I chose this path to go then.
- The atomic bomb gets dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
- We are reporters from USA News and we want to know why you made such a violent decision to get Japan to surrender
- It's quite simple, I didn't want to waste anymore American lives and I wanted to beat Japan with unconditional surrender
- Japan surrenders after the attack
- It was estimated that we would have 200,000 casualties and 50,000 killed if we tried to invade Japan
- I am not trying to waste the lives of those good soldiers if i don't have too.
- Reporters are outside wondering why he makes this decision
- President Truman tells reporters that he made this decision because it would save American lives and get Japan to have an unconditional surrender
- Truman tells reporters that America wold have and estimated 200,000 casualties if they didn't do this and 50,000 deaths.
