- The rose bushes outside of Hester's prison cell symbolize Hester's beauty as well as the fact that nature does not judge people even though the world around her does.

- The Black Man with a book of signatures in the forest symbolizes the devil. Inside this book he has people sign their name in blood that grants them a mark like the scarlet letter. This symbolizes the idea of selling your soul to the devil .
- Skluzavka: 3
- The light in the forest that only shines on Pearl and not Hester symbolizes Pearl's innocence and purity and the fact that Hester has committed many sins including adultery which got her the scarlet letter.

- The glove(s) on Dimmesdale's hand(s) symbolize the sin that Dimmesdale has been hiding from the public.
- Skluzavka: 5
- The scaffolding symbolizes the punishment and judgment that Hester receives from the townsfolk in a physical manner as it gets shown throughout the rest of the story. This scaffolding is also shown as a meeting spot for Dimmesdale and Hester (accompanied by Pearl), and symbolizes the fact that they are both apart of the same sin.

- The meteor symbolizes the exposure of hidden sin in a physical manner as the Puritan society believes meteors to be a celestial sign. This meteor was exposing Dimmesdale's sin of adultery that he committed with Hester but had been hiding from the people.
- Skluzavka: 7
- The scarlet letter symbolizes Hester's sin physically aside from her child Pearl. The "A" stand for "adultery" which was the great sin that she commited and was shunned for in her Puritan town.
