People think that steroids are this drug that instantly makes you a big and fit guy. The reality is that you still have to work extremely hard and pay attention to what you eat. People also are unaware that steroid has some serious side effects that are really talked about.
People set unrealistic expectations for men when they work out and they think it is easy to have a six pack and be shredded. The reality is that most men will never really be extremely shredded because that level of body fat percentage is completely unsustainable and that means that some men can't have abs. Also some men will never be big because their genetics don't support that. And social media sets a bad example of what is achievable naturally because a lot of fitness influencers are on the juice (steroids).
People also set unrealistic expectations for women when they work out. They think that women will easily get rid of fat in certain areas when in reality you can't really spot reduce fat. They also think that a certain weight is healthy but that varies from person to person. And this usually leads to excessive dieting and may even cause them to have an eating disorder as a result of it.
