Good morning! I want you to begin thinking about SATs and ACTs now that your high school career is coming to an end soon.
I need to get a good score to get into the college that I want!
I hate that they compare our scores against others, it's frustrating.
How am I suppose to prepare for this?
I'm supposed to take a test on the curriculum that I have learned as a student, but I barely learned anything during covid.  Learning at home took a toll on my mental health as well.  Remote learning didn't do justice for me. Preparing for the SAT is going to be hard considering the inadequate learning last year and repairing my mental health.
The prep books, tutors, and classes that help prepare for SATs and ACTs are all so expensive. How am I going to pay for this and find classes available? Others have access to prep tests and help. They'll receive a better score due to their advantages.
I didn't get into my dream college, probably because I didn't do well on my SAT.  I did very well on the tests and quizzes given throughout the year. I wish they only looked at how well I did in class.
After seeing the struggle of students before and after SATs and ACTs,  it's time to reconsider what these scores mean.  Taking the outside factors of students into consideration and getting to know a person should determine the acceptance into a college. Not a numerical number.
The SAT and ACT failed and would never be able to show the accomplishments outside of the classroom. The three standing here delivered a speech that changed their community for the better. How will tests show the determination and persistence these students used to make a difference?
