The Battle of Lake Erie was a conflict between the U.S. which was led by Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry and Great Britain which was led by Robert Heriot Barclay. Although they were smaller and less experienced, the U.S. won the battle.

The Burning of Washington D.C. was led by Major General Robert Ross and Rear Admiral George Cockburn. The British forces burned the city while American officials and residents fled the city. The event was considered a psychological win for the British but didn't have an impact on the war.

The battle of Fort McHenry took place September 13th 14th, 1814. The British Navy was looking to control the Chesapeake Bay and attacked Fort McHenry. The battle is most known for inspiring Francis Scott Key to write "The Star-Spangled Banner" because even through all of the attacks and heavy shelling, the American flag defiantly flew over Fort McHenry.
