The Battle of Lake Erie was a conflict between the U.S. which was led by Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry and Great Britain which was led by Robert Heriot Barclay. Although they were smaller and less experienced, the U.S. won the battle.

The battle of Fort McHenry took place September 13th 14th, 1814. The British Navy was looking to control the Chesapeake Bay and attacked Fort McHenry. The battle is most known for inspiring Francis Scott Key to write "The Star-Spangled Banner" because even through all of the attacks and heavy shelling, the American flag defiantly flew over Fort McHenry.
