THE STORY: After being sold by the Shelbys, Uncle Tom eventually finds himself under the ownership of a kind-hearted young girl, Eva, and her father, Augustine St. Clare. However, after St. Clare's sudden death, Tom is sold again, this time to the brutal and merciless plantation owner Simon Legree. On Legree's plantation, Tom endures unimaginable cruelty and harsh conditions, yet he remains steadfast in his faith and compassion.

Despite the relentless blows, Tom remains himself, offering forgiveness to his beaters and praying for their redemption. Eventually, the beating leaves Tom unconscious.
