I need the people to pay more, we need the money instead.
King Louis XVI has made us bankrupt, all cause of his lavish spending and more.(In debt) and because of the unfair tax system he has going on. (He had summoned Estates-General because of the financial crisis he had made.)

While going through a finical crisis due to how he spent the common's people tax money and etc, he had called upon a estates general, during May 1789; the estates general comprised 3 orders, the clergy, the nobility, and the Third Estate which had represented the common folk. the Third Estate brought equal representation. On June 17, 1789, they formed the National Assembly, which challanged royal authority. After being locked out by Louis XVI, they took the Tennis Court Oath on June 20, vowing to stay united until a new constitution was established, marking a key moment in the French Revolution.
I comprise that there 3 orders be in order. (the clergy, the nobility, and the Third Estate)

The Reign of Terror was about Suspected citizens engaging in 'counter-revolutionary' activity were often arrested, tried, and executed(A mass executions) and political repression. It resulted in the deaths of roughly 40,000 people (11 month period from September 1793 to July 1794.)
