Macbeth meets the 3 witches. They tell him he'll be Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and King. Macbeth was already Thane of Glamis.
As soon as he gets back to the castle, Macbeth is told he's the new Thane of Cawdor. (The old one was a traitor)

Macbeth writes a letter to his wife
uhhhh...I'm gonna go
He's too scared to kill the King so I'll make sure he does!
Do you think I should? It's bad isn't it?
If the witch's prophecy is true, go and kill him!
Hmm...
SImilar to the story of Macbeth, Eve was told of potential good things that could come about if she were to disobey the rules, like lady macbeth she was promised something good in return for her sin' . She convinced her husband, Adam into disobeying just like lady macbeth did to macbeth.
