- You're right! I'm lucky I have this dark hair to protect me from the sun!
- Dang, I wish I had darker hair like them. I always get the worst sunburns!
- Man, these summers are getting hotter and hotter!
- In this environment, the swamp monsters live in a humid and warm environment that get chilly at night and often gets cold winters. The hair on their legs protects them from the cold winters and the sun in the hot summers. They shed their hair for warmer months, but due to their light blue skin, they get sun burns. The swamp monsters that have darker and thicker purple hair are more protected from the sun than those with lighter purple hair. These swamp monsters are very sensitive to sun exposure and it makes them very sick. For this species, having sunburns makes their skin sensitive to infections. The thickness and color of their hair has a lot to do with their survival.

- These summers are getting way too hot! I can't hunt for carrots without getting sunburnt anymore!
- The increasing temperature and sun exposure is making it harder and harder for the swamp creatures with lighter and thinner hair to hunt without getting a sunburn. When summer comes, the darker haired swamp creatures still have protection from the sun, and the lighter thinner haired creatures risk sunburns and infections.

- The swamp creatures with lighter skin eventually died due to their sensitivity to sun exposure and the diseases they would catch from the sun. Then the darker haired creatures would breed and produce more darker haired swamp creatures.
