The creation of Papatuanuku and Ranginui

They both have 8 children together. But the parents were in darkness.
Ranginui is the sky farther and Also was torn away from papatuanuku from their children trying to separate them.
Papatuanuku is the earth mother and she is the birthplace.
In the beginning Ranginui and Papatuanuku were held in a tight embrace, their children were born in between their embrace but it was in complete darkness. Also the children became mad and annoyed at the fact that they were in darkness, so they planned to separate their parents. Ranginui and Papataunuku said their goodbyes as they had their final embrace. Ranginui couldn't stop crying as he could see Papatuanuku’s face so they decided to turn her over to stop the tears flooding her!
Rangi and Papa cried out. "Why are you doing this?" the parents asked. "Please don't separate us!" you are our son! But Tāne,(the god of the forest) carried on pushing and, eventually, they were forced apart. Their sons were excited because they don't have to be in the darkness anymore, but all of their sons were excited, except Tawhirimatea (the god of the winds.)
Tawhirimatea was not happy about the separation so he flew up to the sky to be with his Dad and with his Mum above them.
