Unknown Story

My creatures are dinosaurs that live on an island in a hot climate. They have horns to kill their prey, shells on their back to shield from the sun and hard-shelled feet to protect them.They are white and brown dinosaurs and they have smaller shells if they are smaller and bigger shells if they are bigger.
There was a huge hurricane that took all the smaller dinosaurs because they were lighter and had lighter/smaller shells so it was easier for the wind to pick them up.
The hurricane landed them on a new island where there was a way cooler climate with less sun. The dinosaurs started to adapt to their new environment and continue using their horns to kill their prey.
The smaller dinosaurs reproduce with each other and stay the same size they are with the small shell. Since there is not as much sun and no bigger dinosaurs, the dinosaurs on this island continually grow/stay smaller and start to grow smaller shells.
The two species grew very genetically different. A tornado swept through the new island and brought the new species back to the original island.
When the original and new species met on the island, they would not reproduce. The big dinosaurs wanted to reproduce with the other big dinosaurs so they could keep a big shell in the sun. This left both species reproductive isolated. The two dinosaur species now compete for resources on the island.
