- Lockwood is a town that uses a lot of power. But how does Lockwood get its power? Power comes from something called a natural resource. Natural resources are materials from the earth used to make energy.
- Lockwood uses 3 natural resources.One of them is hydro. Hydro works by collecting energy from the flow of water. A turbine is connected to a generator, turning it into electricity. Hydro is renewable.

- The second resource Lockwood uses is Solar power. Solar panels turn sunlight into electricity. This resource is renewable.
- The third resource that Lockwood uses is coal. Coal is burned in a boiler which makes steam, the steam goes into a turbine to create electricity. Coal is non renewable.

- There are many jobs in Lockwood. Jobs like mining, fishing, and forestry are part of the primary sector. Construction workers and engineers are part of the secondary sector.
- The tertiary industry is the largest industry in Canada
- Doctors, teachers and waitresses are a part of the tertiary sector. Writers, painters and movie directors are a part of the Quaternary sector. All of these sectors make up the economy.

- The population of Lockwood is 600 000 people with a population density of 900 people per square km.
- Population density = number of people / land area
- Population density is the amount of people in one area.
- The majority of people in Lockwood live near the coast, in the city because it has a nice scenery, and a lot of job opportunities. The area of the town is 115 km square.

- Most of them work for food services or are software engineers. A lot of them live in a small town called Ocean land, it got its name because it has a pretty view of the ocean. Lockwood welcomes refugees and helps them with more free and secure lives.
- The culture of Lockwood is very diverse with a mix of cultures and religions. 45% of the population is immigrants, many immigrants that live in Lockwood came from Ukraine, Germany, Ireland, and China.
