This is where Lev and Kolya meet for the first time in the darkness. Here Kolya is giving Lev a piece of library candy wrapped in a peperino. Lev doesn't really trust anyone at this moment.
in this scene lev and Kolya go to the chicken coop so they can get eggs. However they found an old man and a young boy they are grandpa and grandchild. So Lev and Kolya were going to leave but Kolya heard a sound and it turns out there was one in the boys shirt.

Kolya's friend was leaving near by so they went and stayed they night but they found out the chicken is actually a boy. That means it wont be able to make eggs. So they made soup out of it and ate with the group and went to find eggs.

This scene is where they tell Lev and Kolya about what happens if they try to leave. Zora was the girl the all loved the most and she just cried and cried but one day she went mute and that night she tried to run. However they found her and the big boss solider got mad and started to cut her ankles off while the other girls held her down.
Here is when we see vika is still alive and was with a group of people. Lev and Kolya were planning to kill the solders before they start but they beat them to it. Then they all stayed until sunrise so they can rest.
