  • When I disgrace with fortune and men's eyes.
  • He felt in despair and hopeless as if his world has fallen apart completely. He feels as if he is losing hope.
  • Desiring this man's art, and that man's scope.
  • At this point throughout the story he starts to compare himself to others wanting to be like them and he felt that he was an outcast.
  • The poem shows a form of imagery the way the author describes to the reader how the character felt during the times when he felt all hope is lost. The way the author describes how the main character rose from losing hope to building confidence you can see how happy the character is now and how much he evolved.
  • "Haply I think on thee,--and then my state. "
  • In the poem the author is describing how he looked up to someone and he went from feeling miserable to feeling loved because of that special person in his life. This is when he changed his tone.
  • Like to the lark at break of day arising from sullen earth sings hymns at heaven's gates.
  • The more he though about the special person in his life he felt a new change as if he was going through an awakening he refurbished into a new man. This gave him confidence and a sense of security. He felt cheerful.
  • Shakespeare describes how the character at the end gradually learns that he does matter and that he is can be happy and he's just as good as anyone else.
  • For thy sweet love remember'd such wealth brings That then I scorn to change my state with kings.
  • '"God Grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change the courage to the change the things we can and the wisdom to know the difference.
