After refusing to give up her seat on a city bus Rosa Parks was arrested. Planned by Nixon and led by King, the two incidents led to the Montgomery bus boycott.
King, was one the leaders who organized the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. He was an instrumental leader within the civil rights community.
