6.3.a Pueblo Revolt

The Pueblo People were forced to become slaves for the Spanish. They tried to convert the Pueblo people to Christianity. Also the Spanish threaten with them with hangings and other things that were very bad
The Pueblo People felt, angry, scared, sad.
The Pueblo got up with other Tribes and decide when the revolt will be. Soon, they have nots to count down how many days until the revolt. The plan got discovered but they still got the Spanish by surprise.
They laid siege to the city for nine days and cut off the water supply. As Pope's Rebellion, killed more over 400 Spaniards and drove the remaining Spanish settlers south toward Mexico. The rebellion destroyed many churches in an effort to put an end to the Catholic presence on Pueblo land.
The Spanish flee the area, they had low resources at the time. So that's when the other Tribes had the chance to attacked and killed more than 400 people. They drove many south of Mexico
The Spanish came back and re-conquered New Mexico 12 years later.
