Penance
I’m really sorry for yelling at you, i didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.
After yelling at her brother, Stacey is sorry and wants to apologize. Contrition is the feeling of true Sorrow after committing sin, as well as the want to not sin again.
Absolution
That’s great! I’m sure now that Your brother has forgiven you, God has as well.
Stacey goes to confession in hopes that she will be to fully acknowledge and be fully forgiven, and also find out how to deal with her brother.Confession is when we talk to the priest and admit our sins.
