  • That is a great start, why don't you ask the group covering the Action genre what other features they are discussing?
  • We have discussed music and some examples of films but now we can't work out what to do on the rest of the poster
  • Students feel comfortable approaching the teacher for guidance. The teacher has already provided a list of suggested inclusions earlier in the lesson, therefore the students are gently redirected to collaborate with peers outside their immediate group to get back on track.

  • I think it is really important we include information about soundtracks! It is such a big part of how I know if a film is scary or not.
  • Let's choose a really bright eyecatching design, I love art, i would like to help with this part of it.

  • Students will present their posters in a collaborative, conference format to their peers. All posters will be uploaded to a year group subject page so students can engage with work contributed by peers in their class or year. The activity can then be extended by collaborating online with groups from others classes and developing their genre knowledge further.
