King Claudius calls Hamlet, who has a better claim to the throne, his son. Hamlet takes this as more of a slight than a term of endearment.

Claudius mocks Hamlet's depression for the loss of his father. He asks him how it's even possible for him to be upset about it

Hamlet expresses his distaste for the rapid transition from funeral to marriage. He's not trusting of Claudius or his mother

Hamlet is making a joke, saying that there is no villain that is not bad. He is obviously referring to Claudius, cementing is hatred.
Claudius enlists the help of Hamlet's old friends Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. He is showing his distrust for Hamlet and his need for spies
